Interested in adopting a pet from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton? There are three easy ways:

- Meet our adoptable cats and kittens at one of our offsite adoption-center partners. You can view the offsite adoption list here.
Adopting from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton doesn't only help an animal find a forever family; it also makes good financial sense for you. All of our pets are:
- Spayed or neutered
- Up to date on shots and medical care
- Receive world-class nutrition, thanks to the generous support of The Iams Company
- Receive daily socialization and love
When you adopt, you'll receive a starter food packet, cat or dog collar, information on local vets and pet supply stores and other relevant brochures on issues like declawing, housetraining and other topics.

Small Animal Adoption Application
- Kittens under six months: $60
- Cats over six months: $50
- Senior cats (over five years): $40
- Puppies under six months: $115
- Dogs over six months: $100
- Dog license (Montgomery County only): $16.75
