Not able to adopt right now, but looking for a way to help? Do you want to put a face to your donation? Consider sponsoring a pet! Sponsoring a pet offers you the opportunity to have a "virtual pet" as well as support the Humane Society of Greater Dayton at the same time. The average sponsorship is $500, which is based on the average stay of an animal. The costs associated with a stay of an animal include: intake, vaccinations, spay/neutering services, vet services and the housing of the animal until it is adopted. On occasion, there may be an animal that needs special care due to an illness or injury. These occasional circumstances make some sponsorship amounts greater than $500.
