Adopting from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton doesn't just help an animal find a forever family; it also makes good financial sense for you. All of our pets:

When you adopt, you'll receive a starter food packet, cat or dog collar, information on local vets and pet-supply stores, and other relevant brochures on issues like declawing, housetraining and other topics.
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton follows a variable-pricing model for adoption fees. Adoption fees for dogs range from $75 to $300. Montgomery County dog licenses are an additional $20.75. Cat adoption fees range from $45 to $75. Adoption fees start at $45 for rabbits and $50 for ferrets. Adoption fees for other small animals, including birds and guinea pigs, are determined by the shelter manager. Fees are based on breed, age, special needs and length of stay at our facility.
